What are the advantages of Invisalign clear aligners?

Invisalign offers many benefits to patients, including:

  • Aesthetics: Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, allowing you to straighten your teeth discreetly without the noticeable appearance of traditional braces.
  • Comfort: Invisalign clear aligners are made of smooth plastic, reducing the discomfort and irritation typically associated with metal braces.
  • Removability: Invisalign aligners can be easily removed, enabling you to eat, drink, brush, and floss without any restrictions.
  • Easy Maintenance: Cleaning Invisalign aligners is simple, as they can be easily rinsed and brushed with a toothbrush.
  • Customized Treatment: Invisalign uses advanced technology to create personalized treatment plans, ensuring efficient and effective teeth straightening.

How long does the Invisalign process take?

The length of an Invisalign treatment can vary depending on individual needs. On average, the treatment duration ranges from 6 to 18 months. Following the instructions that are provided to you is the best way to help ensure that your treatment plan stays on track. When patients wear their Invisalign aligners as often as possible, or at least around 20 to 22 hours per day, their teeth are being continuously shifted. If a patient does not wear their aligners frequently enough, their teeth may begin to shift back to their original positions.

How do I take care of my Invisalign aligners?

Caring for Invisalign aligners properly is essential. When removing an aligner, remember to use gentle force to avoid damaging it. Rinse your aligners thoroughly with lukewarm water whenever you remove them to keep them clean. Brush your teeth after meals before reinserting the aligners to prevent food particles from getting trapped, or at least rinse your mouth out with water. Keeping your aligners clean is also important for keeping them clear and discreet. We recommend soaking your Invisalign clear aligners in specialized cleaning crystals or denture cleaner periodically to remove plaque and bacteria.
